AI research · Drug discovery
MSc in Computer Science, Zhejiang University · Advised by Prof. Zhou Zhao
My work spans medical AI, electricity load forecasting, education, quantitative trading, and AI for pharmaceutical research. My current focus is AI-driven drug discovery, with two research directions:
Developing novel treatments for Alzheimer’s disease to improve cognitive function and quality of life for older adults in China.
Exploring new applications of existing Chinese patent medicines through computational research into their pharmacological effects and clinical potential.
Life
I make room for both work and the things I enjoy. Inspired by Xiao Wang’s “Five Kinds of Time”, I organise my days around necessities, earning, wellbeing, leisure, and flow.
Necessities
Time for everyday responsibilities
Advancing medical AI projects while pursuing doctoral studies and building knowledge, experience, and professional connections.
Earning
Building expertise and creating value
Developing expertise in medical AI, quantitative investment, or energy storage optimisation through sustained work.
Wellbeing
Caring for health and appearance
Battle ropes, BodyPump, running, healthy food, skincare, and a tidy home help me feel well and stay active.
Leisure
Time to explore and enjoy
Setting aside a day each week for travel, city walks, concerts, sports, or a new skill.
Flow
Time for uninterrupted focus
Meditation, reading, hot springs, films, and music give me time to unwind and reflect.
Research
A selection of my research interests and projects.
AI for pharma · 2025– · Hospitals, research institutes & manufacturers
Computer-assisted research for Chinese patent medicines and natural products. Services cover ingredient data, potential targets, preliminary safety screening, quality standards, and clinical study design, with a focus on investigating new uses for existing medicines.
Medical AI · 2024 · Tertiary hospitals & East China Normal University
A method for prodromal staging and subtype identification in neurodegenerative diseases. It combines variable decorrelation and an improved EM algorithm with progression-sequence constraints (UDC), MMD-DTW, and genetic optimisation to support staging, interpretability, and computational efficiency. The research aims to support earlier risk assessment; clinical benefits require further validation.
Outputs: patent application CN118116582A; global Top 10 in the 2024 BAPP Algorithm Competition.
Load forecasting · 2022 · Zhejiang University & State Grid
Research using electricity load data from 10,068 enterprises in Zhejiang. The model combines convolutional networks, LSTM, and self-attention to capture local and long-range patterns, with updated observations and iterative forecasting. Experiments compare performance in real-time and short-term prediction settings.
Thesis: Jialiang Tong. Research on Electricity Data Processing and Load Forecasting. Zhejiang University, 2023.
Medical AI · 2025– · Shanghai Aizhaohu Medical Technology
An agent coordination approach for elderly care, combining data, knowledge, inference, and collaboration. It supports care teams through baseline assessment, changes in condition, hospital visits, and return to care.
Award: second prize, 2026 MinerU Data Intelligence and Frontier Corpus Challenge.
Quantitative trading · Independent research
AAT-Former addresses domain shift across market regimes and trading venues. It processes limit order books, trades, and quotes using time bucketing and DTW-K-means clustering, followed by causal convolutions and Transformer-based temporal encoding.
Cross-attention, LSTM, and MLP modules produce return, direction, and volatility signals. A gradient reversal layer and maximum mean discrepancy alignment encourage representations that transfer across regimes and venues.
